We are pleased to announce the EMBO|EMBL
Symposium:
New Perspectives on Immunity to Infection, 19 - 22 May 2012
Please visit the conference website:
www.embo-embl-symposia.org/symposia/2012/EES12-01 .
The conference will take place in Heidelberg, Germany at the EMBL Advanced Training Centre.
Registration Deadline closes: 12 April 2012
Abstract Submission closes: 8 March 2012
Despite decades of study, the mechanisms determining host vulnerability versus resistance to pathogens remain poorly defined. This has impeded the rational design of vaccines and other forms of immunologic intervention. This symposium will discuss new developments and approaches for overcoming critical gaps in our understanding of the pathogenesis of infectious diseases and immunity to infection. Experts will discuss aspects of the host-pathogen interaction at the molecular, cellular, organism and population levels with the goal of identifying critical determinants that dictate whether this encounter
leads to resistance or disease.
You are welcome to circulate this announcement to interested members and groups within your institute.
We look forward to welcoming you to Heidelberg, Germany.
